Privacy Policy

Your data, handled with the same care we give to every component: traceable, minimal and protected.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit this website or contact us. It is designed to meet the requirements of the GDPR and India's DPDP Act, 2023.

01Who we are

Ohmni Store ("Ohmni", "we", "us") operates this website and the related Ohmni verticals: sourcing.ohmni.in, ohmni-store.com and makers.ohmni.in. For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Ohmni is the data controller / data fiduciary for personal data collected on this website.

02Data we collect

We collect only what we need:

  • Contact details you choose to share, such as your name, email, phone and company, when you email us or use our contact form
  • Message content, such as part numbers, quotes requested and other enquiry details
  • Technical data such as browser type, device information, pages visited and approximate location, only where you have consented to analytics cookies
  • Cookie preferences, stored so we remember your choice

03How we use your data

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes (legal basis: steps prior to a contract / legitimate interests)
  • To improve our website and services (legal basis: consent, for analytics)
  • To send marketing communications only where you have opted in (legal basis: consent)
  • To comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting

We never sell your personal data.

04Cookies

We use cookies in three categories:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to work, including remembering your cookie choice. These are always active.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site. Used only with your consent.
  • Marketing: used to show relevant offers on other platforms. Used only with your consent.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer. Your consent choice is stored for up to 180 days.

05Sharing your data

We share personal data only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as hosting, email, payments and logistics, under appropriate contracts, or when the law requires it. Where data is transferred outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

06Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiries are typically kept for up to 24 months unless they lead to a business relationship, and some records are kept longer where the law requires it.

07Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority or, in India, the Data Protection Board

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

08Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and vetted service providers. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Our website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
